Problem with factions and the hive mind Empty Problem with factions and the hive mind

It’s nothing new that people gravitate toward people with similar ideologies. However it does become problematic when people choose to settle within the realm of where they feel is most relatable and comfortable. When people subject themselves to only one place their growth and understanding becomes heavily more limited. In turn the more a person stays within that environment it only reassures them and locks their thoughts further into that ideology, making them believe that any other idea that conflicts with it illogical and not possible.

People will pride themselves and label themselves amongst a community or group of people and follow it like a religion. Those who question or challenge the faith upon their beliefs are to be shunned and shut down immediately. This is bad because all of these different factions keep themselves willfully ignorant of outside variables to their viewpoints. They don’t like to hear what they don’t like to hear and tune out things regardless of how much sense it could make. There’s no entertaining ideas unless it already fits within their own narrative and vision.

This double edged sword mentality is how these factions will forever conflict with those of the outside. How are you expected to solve whatever conflicts or issues you have with others if u tune out possible information that could help your cause? How do you adapt to your opposition if you don’t gain insight of their own perspectives? The hive mind mentality is self damaging as much as it is harmful to others. People mentality nerf their potential by closing out everything they don’t want to listen to.

I feel as if people would feel better about themselves if they were to put better efforts toward trying to expand the variety of their knowledge toward different types of people. Experience things outside of the echo chamber within your comfort zone. Truly understand how everyone in the world has different versions of pain and experiences that makes them who they are. People need to get out of their own bubble and experience everyone in their entirety. This is how you grow with people and become more capable of resonating with all kinds of people.
